A home for working ideas

Bringing Flux core onto the homepage, with a clear path from the artwork to the toolkit and setup.

After the field studies, Flux core became the homepage opening. Its thick nested ribbons give the eye something to explore before the explanation begins.

The Alkemist homepage pairs Make ideas explorable with a colorful live Flux core sculpture on a blackboard background.

The composition keeps the introduction short. The sculpture carries the color; a handwritten note invites a closer look. The study labels and equations stay in Labs. Drag, zoom, and motion controls remain available, with quiet automatic movement and a still opening for readers who prefer reduced motion.

On a narrow screen, the headline leads into the sculpture, followed by the description and setup link. Three concise entries explain the working toolkit: scientific writing, charts from data files, and GLB/glTF models. The existing setup section offers a complete agent brief or terminal instructions, with Cloudflare, GitLab Pages, and custom hosting choices. Source-access requirements remain visible.

The homepage owns this composition in FluxHero.astro and index.astro. The renderer and geometry are shared with the field study, so fixes reach both views. A real rendered still remains visible while graphics load or when they are unavailable. None of the homepage copy or artwork becomes a required part of the reusable theme.
