Notes you can change
A reusable MIDI editor turns musical examples into inspectable, editable phrases.
A recording lets you hear a musical idea. A piano roll lets you inspect its timing, change one note, and hear the difference.
Alkemist’s new Midi component combines that view with a compact note editor. It includes three local synthesized voices—piano, supersaw, and bass—and four original studies. Select a track, move a note, change its duration or velocity, and compare the result. The same component works as an editable sketch or a playback-only figure in a tutorial.
The musical source is a typed sequence of note tracks. MIDI import and export connect that sequence to other tools; the live playground also regenerates source when you edit it. The browser synthesizes sound locally, and imported local files remain on the device. A MIDI export contains notes and instrument assignments, not an audio rendering or a complete DAW project.
