Bringing color back to the models

Keeping the mathematical detail while giving the opening more color and warmth.

The engineering round gave the objects useful detail, but the silver surfaces made the opening feel dry. This pass keeps the geometry and brings the shared inks into the objects themselves.

Enneper blends cobalt, violet, and rose along a local coordinate. Gyroid moves from cobalt through cyan to teal, with vermilion section curves. Reduction uses a cobalt housing, teal carrier and retainers, a vermilion sun gear, and silver teeth and bearings. The color has a role at the scale of both the whole object and its parts.

Dipole assigns colors by shell family: warm inner lines lead through rose and violet to cool outer lines. The surface ramps and shell colors are illustrative choices, not maps of stress, temperature, or field strength. The model definitions and their limits remain described in the preceding article.

The eight shared inks retain the same values on both boards. Physically based lighting shades the surfaces, while line colors stay crisp. Handwritten notes return beneath the equations. The technical labels, coordinate nets, fine mechanical parts, and quiet motion remain available for closer inspection.
